Tantalizing Pan Asian fare at Wox

Hyatt Place Jumeirah is hardly a year old property situated in Jumeirah 1, but it is already making some waves because of its restaurant WOX that has appealed to a large section of people who enjoy Pan Asian Cuisine.

Last week I had the opportunity to try WOX on two occasions and both times me and my dining partners have had a really remarkable experience in terms of food taste, service and value. 

So my dining companion is a food blogger herself and a home chef and she is a seasoned food expert so to say and she asserted that she had one of the most enjoyable meals from WOX.

What we tried



Dim sum : Delicious. Yummy. Just few words to describe this extremely delicious dish from the far east  asia. 

Vietnamese beef noodle soup :  Hot yummy soup that was every bit vietnamese

Tom yum soup : I am usually not a big fan of Tom Yum but for the first time I greatly appreciated this soup from the WOX kitchen. It was prepared just perfect. 

Wok fried shrimp with tamarind : A tantalizing dish that left us wanting for more. 

Wok fired beef with black pepper sauce : Perfectly cooked tiny chunks of beef marinated with black pepper sauce. Not to spicy not to bland, just the right amount of flavour to feast our tastebuds.

Egg fried rice : One of the Yummiest egg friedrice i have tried in Dubai. Really really nice. 



Nasi goreng : This dish appealed to us from the very presentation. Love at first site and love at first bite. It was love all along till we both finished the dish completely. 

Pad Thai : I must give credit to the chefs for this totally yummy preparation of Pad thai. I have tried it in so many restaurants in Dubai, but i like it here. 

Sago Banana & Sticky rice mango : Desserts were not too sweet and just made right to wash down all the spices from the food.

WOX was over all a fantastic dining experience which we will cherish for a long time. The restaurant incharge Manu needs a very special mention for being an excellent source of support in terms of helping us with our shoot or even with the selection of dishes. He is an extremely kind gentleman and it reflects on the team too. His staff Nafraz, chef Dewa and Chef Kamal did a great job with the food and service. 

I have no hesitation in giving this restaurant a full 5 owing to its value. I think it is the most value for money pan asian restaurant in a 4 star hotel in Dubai. Go for it!

A Bong Affair at Dil Se Desi, Bur Dubai

Bengal is home to one of the most diverse and unique cuisines in the whole of India and no two Bengali dishes are alike. Zou Zou at La Mer, Dubai

After my recent visit to Gunaydin – which in my opinion is the best Turkish restaurant in Dubai, my expectations from any Turkish restaurants have risen to all time high. When I got invited from Zou Zou – the Turkish Lebanese restaurant at La Mer, I was all in for it, to try and compare. I visited Zou Zou last week with a very dear friend who is also a big foodie like me and a lover of all things Turkish. So needless to say, we went there with lots of expectations and a hungry tummy of course. I must mention that Zou Zou didn’t disappoint. First off I have to remark about the service.
