Today happened to pass by Oud Medha to meet someone and decided to catch up with my sister at Chutney & Roll. While we visited there were hardly anyone there and the chairs were all arranged as per the government directives for covid prevention.

The staff were courteous and showed us the menu and offered us water. We started with some lassi as the temperature outside drained all our waters.



I ordered mango lassi while my sister ordered salty. Then in appetizers we asked the restaurant waiter what was their popular ones in appetizer. He suggested Shami Kebab so we ordered that.

In the main course we ordered a mix grill which comprised of beef bihari boti, chicken malai boti, chicken tikka leg, chicken reshmi kebab, and beef seekh kebab. It was pretty good.



In biryani we ordered BBQ chicken biryani which was suggested to us. It was nice. We downed it with Chilled masala limca. We also tried their burger which is most popular. It was called Anda Smahi Bun Kebab burger. I was told this is most ordered on their menu. 

In desserts we had Kheer and Rabri both extremely nice.

Overall the place is reasonably priced and the food is okay. Definitely one can visit and try.

Zou Zou at La Mer, Dubai

After my recent visit to Gunaydin – which in my opinion is the best Turkish restaurant in Dubai, my expectations from any Turkish restaurants have risen to all time high. When I got invited from Zou Zou – the Turkish Lebanese restaurant at La Mer, I was all in for it, to try and compare. I visited Zou Zou last week with a very dear friend who is also a big foodie like me and a lover of all things Turkish. So needless to say, we went there with lots of expectations and a hungry tummy of course. I must mention that Zou Zou didn’t disappoint. First off I have to remark about the service.
