In no mood to venture out in the sweltering heat, we decided to order pizza from home. We went for Z Pizza – a Californian pizza brand with branches in Barsha and Business Bay.  Our location was far from their delivery jurisdiction, nevertheless the Business Bay outlet was kind enough to take our orders for delivery.

We ordered the usual garlic bread, baked potato wedges, California salad and Zwings.



In mains we ordered California Veggie and Chicken Tikka.

The garlic bread came hot and fresh like the other items. It had a light hint of garlic. We would have preferred if they were slightly crispier as we got so used to the crispy version at Pizza Hut. Other than that aspect, it was perfect.



Potato wedges were good and salad fresh. The dressing for the salad was sent separately. The Zwings had a nice smoky flavor, thanks to the hot sauce. 



The California Veggie was probably the best choice and it came embellished with organic tomato sauce, part-skim mozzarella, roma tomatoes, red onions, bell peppers, mushrooms, roasted zucchini, and black olives. It was quite good.



Chicken tikka came with organic tomato sauce, part-skimmed mozzarella, spicy chicken tikka, bell peppers, red onion, and serrano chillies.



The tikka pizza was not spicy by our standards but okay.  The delivery was very much on time despite the distance and the assistance we received from Mark at the store was quite remarkable.

Zou Zou at La Mer, Dubai

After my recent visit to Gunaydin – which in my opinion is the best Turkish restaurant in Dubai, my expectations from any Turkish restaurants have risen to all time high. When I got invited from Zou Zou – the Turkish Lebanese restaurant at La Mer, I was all in for it, to try and compare. I visited Zou Zou last week with a very dear friend who is also a big foodie like me and a lover of all things Turkish. So needless to say, we went there with lots of expectations and a hungry tummy of course. I must mention that Zou Zou didn’t disappoint. First off I have to remark about the service. It was pleasant, warm and quick.
