Onasadhya Food Festival at
Mazina
Onam is a traditional ten-day
harvest festival in the Indian state – Kerala that is celebrated with
a lot of joy and enthusiasm. The most awaited part of the Onam festival is the
traditional sadhya - or the lavish vegetarian feast made with seasonal
vegetables.
Mazina is celebrating this grand Kerala affair with Onasadhya – a
wide spread of south Indian dishes, served on silver platters. The buffet style
spread will offer 105 types of dishes from starters to desserts. The menu
includes delectable traditional Onam dishes such as Kalan (Raw banana cubes
cooked with curd, coconut paste tempered with curry leaves and south Indian
spices), Erissery (Raw Banana/ Yam cooked with coconut jeera paste and Dal),
and Ela Ada (Rice flour cake spread on banana leaf steamed with banana, jaggery
and grated coconut stuffing).
