Grills Corner, Qusais: Review

Last Sunday after weeks of reading reviews on Zomato, I finally decided to check the newly opened "Grills Corner" in the neighborhood.  The venue once housed the infamous Atlas Jewellers, which has closed down almost a year ago.

Well, looked like the new owners spent quite some money to redo the place with some very earthy fit-out and decor.  The place looks small but nevertheless has enough room to accommodate at least 30-40 odd diners within and outside in the outdoor dining area.

We were offered complementary Mutton soup and vegetable salad before we placed our order. The soup tasted OK. It had one huge bone with some cartilage hanging on it. The taste was nothing extraordinary but it was a good try. Besides it is complimentary so no complaints, as such!

The salad tasted very fresh.

We ordered Chicken Charcoal Pepper, Vegetable Noodles, Gobi Manchurian and Bread.

The Chicken Charcoal Pepper was spicy and tasted extremely good. The chicken was grilled to perfection with the flesh being tender and the outer skin being crisp. It came accompanied with the usual French Fries, Hummous, Garlic Paste, Salad and Arabic bread.

The Vegetable noodle was quite good and we thoroughly enjoyed it in the accompaniment of Gobi Manchurian. The quantity was very neat and the mix of veggies in the noodle made it taste just tantalizing.

The Gobi Manchurian was the best part. Priced at only AED 8, this is a killer deal for veggies.

Overall the service was quite good. The place though small had a charm of its own, with subtle and dim lighting and an ambiance quite classic and intimate.

Definitely going here again!
