Mitts & Trays - A culinary extravaganza of sorts

Image
Tasting the delicious food at Mitts & Trays one would think founder Patron Chef Amna always had a passion and desire for the culinary arts. But Amna didn’t discover the joy for baking the usual way one would expect- in her childhood family kitchen. In fact, it was her deep desire for exploring new creative ways to express herself that found her taking on this new challenge.     Deeply driven by her constant search for new avenues and adventures to release her creative talents, Amna found that baking provided her with a never before felt joy of creating and sharing amazing creations with loved ones. What followed next was a natural step for the creative entrepreneur. If she was going to share this passion with the world, it had to be done right. Armed with a professional diploma from the International Centre for Culinary Arts, where she learned not just about baking, but creative cooking, she began developing her passion into a vision. A vision for natural,

Dubai's favourite Emirati restaurant now in a new venue

Image
UAE’s favourite Emirati restaurant in Dubai mall – Milas Restaurant has relaunched and will soon be carrying a new name and identity and a refreshed menu that is sure to make Emirati cuisine appealing to all palettes. The cuisine has undergone a very contemporary twist and treatment and the new venue, within the same mall looks premium, spacious and also has a gorgeous terrace overlooking the Burj Khalifa and dancing fountains. The culinary and service teams are the same however the food is different.   I started off with a glass of iced peach tea and their signature bread basket. The hot breads were sided with Floral Tabouleh and Shiwa graze. In my last review, I had pin pointed that the Tabbouleh at Milas is slightly sourer than ones elsewhere. This time around, I found the Tabbouleh less sour, and carrying a hint of sweetness, thanks to the pomegranate seeds. It is hands down the best Tabbouleh I’ve tried. Shiwa grace was a tantalizing appetizer with a crunch

Enjoy Magnificent views at Walnut Grove's second venue in Dubai Mall

Image
Walnut   Grove  is a concept that was grown in the heart of South Africa, and opened its first UAE location in 2016 at City Walk, Dubai. The venue offers a rustic yet authentic boutique dining experience, with warm and friendly staff and has something for everyone on the menu. Due to the success of the first location,  Walnut   Grove  has now expanded and opened a second venue in The Dubai Mall, on the first floor. The eatery offers amazing views of the Burj Khalifa and Dubai Fountains from the huge outdoor terrace; the ultimate spot to take visitors to for that ‘perfect’ Burj Khalifa selfie, while avoiding the crowds and sipping on artisan coffee.  Blogliterati.com was invited to try out the new menu recently and we enjoyed a great afternoon enjoying some lip-smacking food with magnificent and unmatched views of the iconic Burj Khalifa. We ordered Parmesan Almond Chicken Strips and Parmesan Almond Chicken Salad in appetizers, Pappadew Avo Salmon and Signature Burger in

The Shake Colony

Image
Shaikh Colony Qusais has a new shake joint and its lit. I was invited to try out the recently launched outlet by a blogger friend. Having lived in Qusais for the last five years, I have been lucky to enjoy great choices in terms of dining.  However when it comes to juice bars, there are very few. But now with the launching of this fab new shake parlour, I visited with a friend last weekend and found it really very good. They have a fabulous lineup of milkshakes, fresh juices and mocktails. Though space-wise it is quite small, nevertheless it can accommodate about 15 people sitting. The line up is innovative and there are mocktails with interesting names like Iron man, energizer, Atlantic Breeze, Hangover heaven -the list just goes on. We started off with some Strawberry and mango cream. I must admit that it is one of the most delicious of creams I've tried. Both the fruits were fresh, however the mango wasnt as sweet as it could have been. That's simply becaus
