Amritsr - Authentically Punjabi

This week I had the pleasure of trying out Amritsr with a dear friend who is a connoisseur of Punjabi cuisine. We were there on the national holiday so parking was easy in front of the restaurant. The look and feel of the restaurant gave the very amritsari vibe and we met the owner who was also present at the time of our visit. A very friendly and hospitable guy, he took great care of us and the staff were very friendly and hospitable too.

Now going to the food, we started with Masala Chaas and Lassi. Both very authentic and nice.
We then ordered Aloo Kulcha and Paneer Kulcha... Both were heavy to look at but very light on eating. The kulcha was crispy on the outside and filled with luscious potato on the inside. The same with Paneer ka kulcha. Both equally amazing.

We were already food with these two dishes but i wanted to try one of their chat items so I ordered Dahi Bhalla. One hell of a solid dish, it has lots of pomegranate seeds which gave it a very unique taste. By the time of completing this dish we were filled to the brim already so decided to wash it down with some piping hot adrak and elaichi tea which gave it a nice ending.

Prices are really reasonable here for the quality and the service is pleasant. Ambiance is very relaxing and there is no hazzle for parking, if youre lucky.

I would highly recommend to try this if you want authentic punjabi amritsari fare.
