Enjoying the Full fledged menu at Pancake House
Last week one of my blogger buddies had her birthday so decided to celebrate it at Pancake House, Burjuman.
The name may be deceiving as Pancake house has a lot more than just pancakes. This filipino franchise has captured the market right from the time it first launched in the UAE. We were there on a normal working day and the place was already full. The majority of the guests looked like Filipinos. We were the only indians in the house that night but we felt one among them.
We started off with drinks which were brought over by the friendly waiter from India, Mandeep. He continued to remain our go to guy for all food there.
In appetizers we ordered Spicy chicken tenders and had it customized to our Indian palettes. The taste was really remarkable I must say. Though no one usually orders with so much size and it is not their style, Pancake house always tries to make their guests happy with whatever best they can offer to satisfy guests palettes.
After the palette rewarding experience we ordered fish tacos, pancake, classic pan chicken and spicy chicken fillet and brown rice pilaf.
Fish tacos was quite huge and came with a lot of fillings, This Deep fried fish fillet came with lettuce, tomato salsa, coconut cream dressing, pickled red onions, topped with cheese all in a crispy taco shell.
The classic pan chicken had nice and crunchy wings with sticky rice and home made gravy. It tasted quite good. The Pilaf too was very nice and went so well with the chicken fillet.
The most interesting part of the Pankcake house experience is that, knowing that my friend was celebrating her birthday, the Pankcake house people put up such a lovely cake for us and did not even charge us for it which is very kind of them. The entire troupe from the restaurant came singing to our table and surprised my friend who was almost in tears. The chef too was a very friendly guy and he came over to our table just to check if we were enjoying the meal and entertained us with his witty talks and it was an absolute pleasure interacting with the staff of Pancake House. They are very well trained.
I think they are doing amazing with their food and service. I give them a full five.
