Bleu Blanc By David Myers
I visited Bleu Blanc at the Renaissance Downtown hotel for the first time yesterday for a masterclass hosted by the Interfel fruits and vegetables association from France.
First off the restaurant is very very pretty. One wouldn't expect to see so much of a classic and authentic touch in Dubai. The restaurant is beautiful both on the outside and inside. Situated on the second level with an separate access lift to its precincts, the restaurant boasts of a gorgeous interior with touches of both modern as well as traditional decor. The traditional chandeliers are in start contrast of modern bulbs hanging form the ceiling. Then there are mirrors all over the place which accentuate the traditional feel.
The arrangement of furniture/ seating is very pretty and the service has been amazing. The restaurant also has very gorgeous views of the Dubai skyline and business bay canal.
In terms of food and service, the dishes prepared on the day of the event was by a popular chef from Paris as well as their in house chef. The bites were quite remarkable an this is definitely a place I would love to visit again for spending time in winter. Great views. remarkable service and fantastic milieu both inside and outside.
Bleu Blanc is the epitome of relaxed Mediterranean fine dining, combining authentic French flavours with a laid-back continental style. The vision of this restaurant is meant to reflect the atmosphere of a house in the southern region of France, Provence. Take a seat beneath the flickering candelabras, soak up those sparking Downtown views, and enjoy one of Dubai’s most accomplished-and inventive- French menus.
