City Makani - The newest Malabari restaurant in Karama

This new old refurbished malabari restaurant in Karama is definitely a place to try out for sizzling seafood and authentic and delicious malabari cuisine. Named after the fabulous city in Malabar region in Kerala where the owner is from City Makani is a little gem that has tried to bring out the real essence of keralite malabari cuisine in Dubai. 


I started off with Mutton brain fry and liver pepper fry with the famous bread pathiri and nei pathiri.. I went  on to try their special sea food sizzler which came sizzling hot and aromatic. It had a mix of shrimps, crab and other crustaceans in a delectable mix with the right amount of spices and condiments.


I also enjoyed their biryani rice along with the mutton pepper fry.; It was a fantastic combination. Service was fast and pleasant and the ambiance was comfortable and spacious. 


This place is an absolute must try if you love seafood.

Zou Zou at La Mer, Dubai

After my recent visit to Gunaydin – which in my opinion is the best Turkish restaurant in Dubai, my expectations from any Turkish restaurants have risen to all time high. When I got invited from Zou Zou – the Turkish Lebanese restaurant at La Mer, I was all in for it, to try and compare. I visited Zou Zou last week with a very dear friend who is also a big foodie like me and a lover of all things Turkish. So needless to say, we went there with lots of expectations and a hungry tummy of course. I must mention that Zou Zou didn’t disappoint. First off I have to remark about the service. It was pleasant, warm and quick.
