Taste of Brazil - Bringing the best taste of the Latin American country to the UAE

Taste of Brazil was born from an idea of bringing the real Brazil experience to UAE. The menu is a reflection of the street food you can find in famous beaches as Copacabana in Rio de Janeiro, the music is the real Brazilian vibes and the lifestyle in bringing original Brazil experiences to Kite Beach is their goal. Anyone who have visited, loves or is curious about the Brazilian lifestyle, will quickly feel in Brazil while at Taste of Brazil. It is an experience you can’t miss!

Our Visit
We started off with some Pastels - a Portuguese dish adapted in Brazil with local flavors. The crunchy dough was filled with beef and it came accompanied with chilly sauce and Brazilian style Vinaigrette on side.

We then tried Pão De Queijo (a Cheese Bread).  One of the most popular and consumed dish for afternoon teas and breakfast on the Brazilian population table, this gluten free snack  is made with cassava flour and cheese.

We loved Mandioca Frita which is nothing but cassava chips fried in the Brazilian style. Roughly cut keeping inside the softness and moisture of the cassava but crunchy outside this dish delighted in every single bite.

Coxinha  There is a little interesting history behind this simply yet delicious dish. The story goes that this dish found its origin in the Colonial times in Brazil where it was created exclusively for one of the son’s from the Portuguese Royal family who was fond of chicken leg ! The chef at that time invented this snack, a dough shaped like chicken leg and filled with shredded chicken. The dough used to create this dish is made with Tapioca instead of potato, which makes it a healthier and tastier source of carbs.

Churrasquinho Sandwich -   This sandwich which is a typical sandwich adopted from Sao Paulo bars  - is made of pulled bbq beef served in a toasted bun with cassava fries and Vinaigrette on the side.

We then had the pleasure of trying the famous Brazilian Churros filled with Doce de Leite.

In desserts we tried Tapioca Beiju a heavenly Brazilian Crepe made with Tapioca flour and filled with flavored coconut and condensed milk.

There is also another version of Tapioca Beiju stuffed with with Mozzarella, sun dried tomato and Rocca which is equally good.

How could we visit Taste of Brazil and not try their extremely popular
Organic Açaí Bowl.  Filled with a bed of the most famous Amazonian berry - this Brazilian superfood is loaded with anti oxidants, amino acids and is sugar free. Here at Taste of Brazil, guests can either enjoy it on a bowl with fruits and granola or as a smoothie to go.

Verdict :  There are very few Brazilian restaurants in Dubai and those that exist are top class grill houses. There aren't any noteworthy names to associate with Brazilian street food which is the pulse of the country.  Thankfully we bumped into a brand that makes great streetfood and excels at what it does. The vibe is real, vibrant and jazzy. There's music, there's life, and there's great brazilian street food to try! Do visit them when you are at Kite beach!
