Bombay To Mumbai Cafe Now Open at Marco Polo Hotel, Deira

I was recently invited to attend the launch party of Bombay To Mumbai Cafe at Marco Polo Hotel.

What used to be a fine dining restaurant has now been remodeled into a cafe with a  refreshed menu designed keeping in mind the tastes of the local as well as expat crowd of the city to the quirky yet chic interiors of the café and bar concept.



Inspired by the old Bollywood appeal of the city of dreams, Mumbai, the café and bar offers a choice of delectable desserts, dinner meals and drinks that are sure to add zing to every meal. Enjoy live music every day of the week, with a three-piece band during the weekends alongside some truly desi soft and hard drinks with a zang of contemporary flavor.



Commenting about the total rebrand of The Bombay, Harish Pilar, General Manager, Marco Polo Hotel, said “We are excited for this new endeavor at the Marco Polo Hotel, Deira. The Bombay had always been a traditional Indian restaurant with an appeal starkly contrasting the new Bombay To Mumbai Café, which is retro yet modern.

Bombay To Mumbai Café offers a complete vegetarian and non-vegetarian menu, as well as Tapas @ The Lounge, in the lounge setting of the café. One can also find the largest variety of Indian as well as international spirits in the carefully devised drinks menu, as well as spiked golas and fun cocktails.

Zou Zou at La Mer, Dubai

After my recent visit to Gunaydin – which in my opinion is the best Turkish restaurant in Dubai, my expectations from any Turkish restaurants have risen to all time high. When I got invited from Zou Zou – the Turkish Lebanese restaurant at La Mer, I was all in for it, to try and compare. I visited Zou Zou last week with a very dear friend who is also a big foodie like me and a lover of all things Turkish. So needless to say, we went there with lots of expectations and a hungry tummy of course. I must mention that Zou Zou didn’t disappoint. First off I have to remark about the service. It was pleasant, warm and quick. I was met by Latif Kural the friendly operations manager who has played a role in the setting up several reputed Turkish restaurants in the Dubai.  He is a fine guy with a very pleasant disposition who ensured we felt 'at home'.
