Sin Bin Brunch at Nezesaussi Grill, Dubai's Award-winning Sports Bar

This Friday I popped into Nezesaussi Grill - Dubai's award-winning sports bar at Manzil Downtown to check out their Sin Bin Brunch.  It turned out to be quite a rewarding experience.  With a completely laid back ambiance, delectable food & bar menu and some fantastic sport action on TV, I had what one would call - The Perfect Weekend.

The Brunch
Nezessausi grill’s Sin Bin Brunch is on every Friday from 12. pm to 4.pm. At only AED 199 you can enjoy a very extensive brunch buffet featuring everything from tantalizing appetizers like calamari, mushroom fry and chicken wings to a selection of salads, cold cuts and pastries.  Guests can enjoy unlimited servings of starters and one main from the menu. The main on the menu include Catch of the day, Classic Beef Cheese Burger, Chicken Burger, Bacon Egg Roll and Mini Breakfast.
Besides the above there's chicken roast, beef fry, pork belly, grilled vegetables, roasted potatoes, seafood, pasta and a whole lot more as part of the buffet.

The Food

Salads : In salads, I tried beetroot salad, tuna & beans, chicken, and seafood salad. All the salads tasted fresh and delicious.  I would have wished they included some tabbouleh, garlic paste and hommous too, in the mix.


Starters: The calamari, mushroom and chicken wings platter along with the French fries served as the perfect appetizer. The chicken wings were delectable. The chicken was very soft and it came layered with a kind of sweet red sauce that tantalized even my vegan partner to want to try. The French fries stood out in taste and I just couldn’t stop munching. Three plates later, I still loved it!
For the main course I went for the ‘Catch of the day’ which was as good as I wanted it to be - Fresh fish - cooked to perfection with the right mix of condiments. The portion was pretty good and sufficient for one person.


The Ambiance
The ambiance is chilled out – very much like how you would expect a sports bar to be. Large screen LED televisions are all over the place, each broadcasting different sports action for the ardent sports buffs. There are LED TV's facing every single table - in every single nook and corner, so to say.



And if that were not enough, there is also a games zone featuring everything from play stations, to Foosball to Pacman arcade games. So, if you want to stretch a bit and not be a couch potato, you can play a game of Foosball.

I had an opportunity to speak to Andre Fourie Grove - the restaurant manager of Nezesaussi Grill who was happy to share a few words about the Sin Bin Brunch and why he feels it is Dubai’s unbeatable Friday brunch.

Zou Zou at La Mer, Dubai

After my recent visit to Gunaydin – which in my opinion is the best Turkish restaurant in Dubai, my expectations from any Turkish restaurants have risen to all time high. When I got invited from Zou Zou – the Turkish Lebanese restaurant at La Mer, I was all in for it, to try and compare. I visited Zou Zou last week with a very dear friend who is also a big foodie like me and a lover of all things Turkish.
