Enjoy Magnificent views at Walnut Grove's second venue in Dubai Mall

Walnut Grove is a concept that was grown in the heart of South Africa, and opened its first UAE location in 2016 at City Walk, Dubai. The venue offers a rustic yet authentic boutique dining experience, with warm and friendly staff and has something for everyone on the menu.

Due to the success of the first location, Walnut Grove has now expanded and opened a second venue in The Dubai Mall, on the first floor. The eatery offers amazing views of the Burj Khalifa and Dubai Fountains from the huge outdoor terrace; the ultimate spot to take visitors to for that ‘perfect’ Burj Khalifa selfie, while avoiding the crowds and sipping on artisan coffee. 

Blogliterati.com was invited to try out the new menu recently and we enjoyed a great afternoon enjoying some lip-smacking food with magnificent and unmatched views of the iconic Burj Khalifa.

We ordered Parmesan Almond Chicken Strips and Parmesan Almond Chicken Salad in appetizers, Pappadew Avo Salmon and Signature Burger in mains and Hazelnut Cappuccino and Black Vanilla Shake in drinks.



Parmesan Almond Chicken Strips : The strips were tantalizing to say the least. It had Strips of chicken breast, coated in herbed breadcrumbs, parmesan cheese, and almond cakes. The strips were lightly fried and served with a salsa verdemayo dipping sauce.

Parmesan Almond Chicken Salad : The salad was refreshing and the creamy sundried tomato dressing was peppy. The hearty bowl contained tender chicken strips with a parmesan, almond, and herbed crust, which were lightly fried and served on a bed of mixed greens, with red onions, sun blushed tomatoes, sundried tomato pesto,bu alo mozzarella balls, and roasted almonds.

Pappadew Avo Salmon :  As a die-hard connoisseur of Salmon, this dish totally appealed to me. It was delicious, rich and topped with a sweet chili peppadew and avocado salsa on a bed of fresh Norwegian pan seared salmon. It was served with a peppadew pesto on a bed of savory couscous and a side of potato fries.



The new menu
With an updated menu, guests can find a mix of cuisines, from breakfast staples such as Avo Three Ways, to lunch and dinner items such as Philly Cheese Steak Sandwich, Casablanca Salad, Walnut Truffle Carbonara Pasta, Pistachio Falafel Burger and much more. The menu also has a dedicated kids’ menu. 

For those with a sweet tooth, the cake counter at Walnut Grove Dubai Mall cannot be missed. With a boutique bakery located in the venue, Walnut Grove’s cakes and baked goods take customers on an indulgent journey of sweet treats full of flavour that leave you wanting more. Full cakes are also available to take away and can be pre-ordered for special occasions.

Zou Zou at La Mer, Dubai

After my recent visit to Gunaydin – which in my opinion is the best Turkish restaurant in Dubai, my expectations from any Turkish restaurants have risen to all time high. When I got invited from Zou Zou – the Turkish Lebanese restaurant at La Mer, I was all in for it, to try and compare. I visited Zou Zou last week with a very dear friend who is also a big foodie like me and a lover of all things Turkish.
