Escape To Italy This August With Trattoria Toscana’s ‘Pasta & Grape’ Summer Special

Macaroni and cheese, bread and butter, fish and chips – certain things are just meant to be. And as Dubai’s expert in traditional Italian fare, Trattoria Toscana – the charming waterfront Italian dining destination in Souk Madinat Jumeirah - knows better than anyone that pasta and grape make for the perfect pairing. Trattoria Toscana’s artisanal Head Chef Antonio Iacovelli and his dedicated team have curated an authentic menu comprising nine different pasta dishes, including classics such as Spaghetti alla Carbonara, Tagliatelle al Raguand Penne all’Arrabbiata, while the more adventurous pasta lovers can opt for Mezzelune Verdi al Salmone, half-moon ravioli filled with salmon, ricotta, samphire and lobster cream; or Risotto al Gamberi ed Asparagi, shrimp risotto, asparagus and lemon peel.

Al forno dishes straight from the oven include Gnocchi alla Sorrentina, potato gnocchi, organic cherry tomatoes and buffalo mozzarella; Pasta al Forno con Salsiccia, baked farfalle pasta, veal sausages, turnip tops and black truffle; and Cannelloni alla Bolognese.

“This exclusive summer season menu allows customers to escape from the searing heat with a fresh bowl of pasta washed down with a glass, or bottle, of the world’s finest grapes – we may not be in Italy but that’s no excuse for not having memorable Italian experiences,” said Chef Antonio.

Zou Zou at La Mer, Dubai

After my recent visit to Gunaydin – which in my opinion is the best Turkish restaurant in Dubai, my expectations from any Turkish restaurants have risen to all time high. When I got invited from Zou Zou – the Turkish Lebanese restaurant at La Mer, I was all in for it, to try and compare. I visited Zou Zou last week with a very dear friend who is also a big foodie like me and a lover of all things Turkish.
