Iftar Buffet at Souq
This Ramadan season, if you are looking for that extraordinary dining experience then we highly recommend trying the Iftar Buffet at SUQ Restaurant, Four Seasons Resort, Dubai.
This beachfront resort surrounded by lushly landscaped gardens and pools, is a perfect blend of contemporary style and authentic Arabic design on the edge of the Arabian Gulf.
Named after the traditional Arabian marketplace, SUQ is a cozy, restaurant that guarantees an authentically Arabian Iftar experience. While the Arabesque milieu, subtle lighting and intimate setting will gladden your heart, the lavish iftar menu will satisfy your every craving, with some of the finest, the restaurant has, to offer.
As soon as we entered the lobby friendly staff greeted us and led us straight to the restaurant. The staff we met at different points and during different times at the evening were highly attentive, courteous and delivered very quick service, despite the restaurant being very crowded.
At the SUQ, the warm and inviting interior really captured our attention. The iftar menu was far greater than we could have imagined. In terms of variety in offering, the SUQ comes second to none. There were live cooking stations and fresh Lamb Ouzi stalls, Suchi and Sachimi counters and salad bars, dessert corners and sweet stalls, So much variety was on offer, there was something for everyone.
A bowl of hot and rich Lentil soup set the tone for the iftar meal, coupled with some fresh greens from the Salad bar. The grill veggies were a delight to taste and so was the lavish selection of fine cheese, including baladi, akawi, shelal, brie, and cheddar.  Beetroot, green beans and almond pickle add a tangy, twist to the above.
ReviewSuq Four Seasons Jumeira
For Sushi and Sachimi lovers there was a suchi corner lined with the finest selection of the best from the sea, all freshly prepared right in front of the guests eyes. There was also a live Dim Sum station preparing fresh vegetable and chicken prawns Dim sum.
The cold mezzeh selection included hommous, moutabel, fatoush, tabouleh, rocca salad, vine leaves, muhammara and tomato mozzarellla and for hot mezzeh fried kebbe, cheese raqaqat, spinach fatayer and soujok.
Lamb ouzi served hot from the live cooking station was extremely delicious to say the least. The tender, juicy lamb along with the well-cooked rice was completely satisfying yet felt light on the stomach. Add to that the mix grill including chicken shish tawook, lamb kofta, and beef kebab cooked with the freshest of meat and ingredients really complemented the meal.
To satisfy our craving for Indian cuisine, there was tandoori lamb kebab and chicken tandoori. For the vegetarians among us, there was paneer kadai and dahl makhani along with seasonal vegetable, veg biryani, steam rice and roasted potato.
There were so many varieties of food on offer, there was something for everyone.
As we always do, we saved a portion of the stomach for the deserts and that was indeed rewarding. The tempting line up of desserts included carrot cake, berries tart, passion fruit milk chocolate cake, red velvet cake, caramel cream puff, pecan chocolate tartlet, tiramisu and vanilla berry panna cotta.  If that wasn’t enough there was an Arabic sweet corner offering assorted dates, turkish delight, briwet, burma Cashew, mochabak, bokaj, halawat al Jeben, ghorayeba kashta, mamoul, katayef cheese, znoud al sitt and luqaimat.
We washed it down with some fresh homemade ice cream at the dessert corner.
